An ancient Farakkabadi Gat (Guru-shisya Parampara)

 

This is a very rare Gat from the Farukhabad gharana. Although we have documented this Gat in staff notation for students and readers, learning it merely from notation can sometimes be counterproductive if not studied under the direct guidance of a guru. I learned this Gat directly from my guru (and father), the late Keshab Changkakati. Therefore, I earnestly request that anyone wishing to learn this composition should receive it through direct instruction from a guru.
